Made some pies,

Well I really had troble this year finding Gluten free mince pies so thought i have pastry so might make some. I watched a programe on TV as to how to do these and thought i would give it a go and they turned out not to bad.
First I kneaded the gluten free pastry till it was nice and soft. [have to defrost in a fridge over night]
Then rolled it out to the desired thickness.
Then cut the pastry into squares.
With a knife cut from the corners into the middle leaving a square in the middle where I put some mince meat.
Brushed the pastry with milk. [You  can use egg to do this.]
Then folded every other corner to the centre and pressed it slightly into the mince.
Baked at 180 fan for 20 mins [that will be different depending on pastry and oven].
I have to say they were very nice.
Thank you for looking and any comment you leave I love reading them. Hugs

Hi Lilian,

Love the Pictures they do look tasty, I have had the same trouble this year as well, I seem to spend most of my time reading the ingrediants in things,as luck has it we do have a very good health food shop in Camborne, and they stock a lot of gluten and wheat free goodies.
